Our Team

At CMC we take great pride in the amount of training, supervision, and development that we provide our clinicians. Every clinician at CMC is extensively trained in our core motivational and behavioral treatment modalities and receives weekly supervision by senior clinicians (8+ years at CMC). Many of our clinicians receive additional supervision with respect to specific treatment modalities (e.g., the ITC, CRAFT, evidence-based PTSD protocols) and group programs (e.g., Intensive Services, trauma). We also provide our clinicians with a yearly stipend to attend conferences and additional training in evidence-based treatments. The majority of our clinicians also have psychodynamic and relational therapy backgrounds. All of our clinicians use a harm reduction approach and work with clients at all levels of motivation to change.

At CMC, we are committed to creating an equitable environment for our staff and clients. We hold regular trainings for our staff and get ongoing professional supervision to ensure our actions and practices are culturally competent across race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, gender identity, disability status, and age.

Core Modalities: Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Substance Use Disorders, CBT and Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP) for mood and anxiety disorders, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Self-Compassion Therapy (SC), mindfulness-based strategies, Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), and the Invitation to Change Approach (ITC).
