Dr. Heitler is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with CMC for over 10 years. She earned her degree from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She has worked in the addiction field for over 20 years and spearheaded CMC’s satellite office in Roslyn, Long Island before the pandemic. She is a CMC’s evaluation team member and provides collaborative and evidence-based treatment for adults, couples, and families at CMC:NYC. Before CMC, Dr. Heitler worked as a research coordinator and therapist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Columbia University’s Substance Treatment and Research Services (STARS), and as a therapist at their Buprenorphine Program. She has also worked as a supervising psychologist at a community mental health center, specializing in developmental disabilities and teaching social and interpersonal skills to children and adults on the autism spectrum. She has recently completed over 30 hours of training focusing on geriatric mental health and understanding dementias.
