Dr. DiMeglio is a psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment for individuals and adolescents with substance use disorders and trauma who received her degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dr. DiMeglio has worked in various treatment settings, including community mental health clinics and university counseling. She completed her predoctoral internship at San Diego State University’s Counseling and Psychological Services Center in San Diego, CA, where she provided individual and group therapeutic services as well as psychological assessments to individuals with diverse and intersecting identities, including DACA, socioeconomic, and ability status as well as LGBTQ+. Furthermore, Samantha is passionate about providing holistic, person-centered care focusing on gender roles, societal/familial expectations, building personal agency, and self-compassion. Samantha has training in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, biofeedback, and smoking cessation.
