Dr. Davis  specializes in evidence-based treatment for substance use, trauma, and anxiety related disorders (e.g., OCD, Panic Disorder, Social Phobia). He received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of South Florida, and completed his predoctoral internship at the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center. Before this, he received clinical training at the James A. Haley VA for Trauma and Substance Use Disorders; Rogers Behavioral Health for the treatment of OCD and other phobias; and as a treatment therapist for a NIAAA alcohol treatment grant. Dr. Davis is actively engaged in alcohol related research that seeks to identify specific individual factors that are important to treatment and/or related to risky drinking behaviors. Dr. Davis has completed specialized training in several evidence-based trauma protocols, and has worked extensively in LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming care (e.g., letters of support for gender affirming hormone therapy and surgery) and he incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness into his work.
