Tanya Beecher is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families affected by substance use disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Following her training at Smith College School for Social Work, she completed a postgraduate fellowship at Harvard University in young adult development and college mental health. In more recent years she has been a guest lecturer at Boston College in the area of treating substance use disorders and enhancing client’s motivation and is a presenter/trainer to families and professionals in the Invitation to Change approach. She specializes in treating substance abuse disorders and trauma, has expertise in treating OCD and eating disorders, and has been a clinical supervisor in the field of addictions since 2005.
