Nell Rainey is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in both New York and Massachusetts. Nell received her MSW from Columbia University where she trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Nell’s current practice is informed by additional training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing as well as her commitment to provide affirming and compassionate care. Nell has also completed the one year introductory program at the Stephen Mitchell Relational Study Center in 2020. Nell has extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults as they transition into adulthood in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to joining CMCB, Nell was a program director at a holistic youth center in Manhattan called The Door and she held a small private practice in Brooklyn.
