CMC’s Holiday Wishes

December 19, 2017

Our holiday wishes…

  • If you are one of our clients, we hope you will continue to bravely take on making changes in your life, whatever they may be. We hope you see yourself clearly…for all the inherent goodness in you and that you find compassion for the parts of you that struggle. Thank you for letting us try to be helpful to you in the time that we are together.
  • If you are a parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, sibling, friend…or anyone else who loves and cares about someone struggling with a substance use problem, we hope you continue to hang in there and we thank you for trying to help. We hope we can teach you the skills that will help you take care of yourself while at the same time helping your loved one make positive changes in their life.
  • If you are a referral source, we thank you for trusting us and sharing the work with us.
  • If you are someone who simply subscribes to this newsletter because you want a little dose of support, inspiration or exposure to skills and strategies for change…we hope that you find things here that are interesting to you.

As this year ends we are grateful to you all, as you help us learn and grow as professionals and humans. We consider ourselves incredibly lucky as we get to work with really amazing people who are open to changing in some big and small ways…and we are really blown away almost everyday.

And stay tuned…in January 2018 we will be telling you about our nonprofit CMC: Foundation For Change, the latest step in our passionate commitment to providing help and hope to families who are struggling with substance use. Together we can help families thrive and care for their loved ones in ways that instigate real and lasting change and we can reduce the profound and painful impact that substance use problems are currently having on our communities.

We hope you will join us in trying to change the culture from one of judgment and misunderstanding to one of compassion and knowledge based in science. We wish you warmth and reflection through these holidays and a wonderful entry into 2018.

Happy holidays from everyone at CMC.
Carrie Wilkens & Jeff Foote
